New design options for glass HMIs with IMPAtouch^® Curved

With a new HMI demonstrator made of tempered and curved glass, we are showcasing new possibilities for elegant user interfaces in combination with our IMPAtouch^® technology platform. Curved glass surfaces with printed capacitive sensors, printed conductor tracks and assembled electronic components open up new design options for applications in building technology, for example.

Demonstrator in OFF status: The symbols for the control elements are invisible thanks to vanishing effect printing.

Demonstrator in ON status: The symbols for the control elements are only visible when backlit. The additional lighting of the wall surface creates a discreet ambiance light and signals readiness to function. The selected function is displayed in a separate light color for visual feedback, and the + and - buttons also change their light color. Parallel to the selected function, the lighting of the wall surface also adapts to the ambient light.
