Development of a web server demonstrator based on an STM32 (m/f/d)
Topic of work:
As part of this thesis, you will develop a web server demonstrator based on an STM32 microcontroller. The aim is to investigate various architectural approaches and to implement a secure, updatable solution for smart applications in the area of building and furnace control.
Responsibility:
- Design and implementation of a web server demonstrator based on STM32
- Consideration of cyber security, updatability and testability
- Comparison of different variants:
- Local web server for cloud-independent display
- Client-based with cloud connection or external web server
- Demo implementation of a selected concept
- Market analysis: Mobile control of stoves and comparable smart home applications
Requirement profile:
- Student (m/f/d) in the field of electrical engineering or computer science
- Experience with embedded programming
- Interest in common web technologies, IoT and cyber security
- Independent, structured way of working and the ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of network technologies and web server architectures is an advantage
