Optimization of Capacitive Touch Sensing for Low-Power Applications
To strengthen our team, we are offering an internship in electronics development for the summer semester 2026:
Responsibilities:
- Preliminary investigation of low-power concepts for battery-powered applications
- Optimization of capacitive touch sensing in terms of energy consumption
- Optimization of capacitive proximity sensing with a detection range of up to approx. 7 cm
- Selection of controller types (based on existing Infineon PSoC 4 controllers)
- Optimization of embedded software
- Test setup with an evaluation board
- Optional: Circuit development and prototype construction
- Concept for battery power supply
- Measurements and estimation of battery life
Qualifications:
- Student of Electrical Engineering
- Basic knowledge in circuit development and PCB layout
- Initial experience with embedded programming is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, as well as strong teamwork skills
